Omar Galicia was born in Veracruz, Mexico and raised in South Texas. Omar received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 and graduated from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1999. Prior to joining Tidwell, Swaim, Omar was a partner in a national law firm, specializing in complex commercial litigation throughout the country. At Tidwell, Swaim, Omar primarily assists clients in immigration litigation matters, including deportation/removal, detention, criminal immigration matters, asylum and appeals. Omar has represented clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and in proceedings before the immigration courts.
Omar is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before all of the state and federal courts in Texas. Omar is fluent in Spanish.
